Public Meeting Room Rentals Now Available at the Dolton Public Library District!
Looking for a quiet, professional space to host your next meeting, training, or community program? The Dolton Public Library District offers meeting rooms available for public use on a reservation basis.
Available Spaces Include:
- Josway Auditorium: Seats up to 30 people with chairs ONLY, or up to 35 people with tables and chairs.
- Kopac Room: Seats up to 20 people with chairs only, or 10–15 people with tables and chairs.
- Media Room: Seats up to 25 people with chairs only, or 15–20 people with tables and chairs.
Suitable for:
- Educational workshops and seminars
- Non-profit organization meetings
- Public information sessions
- Study groups or committee meetings
- Informational, Cultural, Recreational, and Civic functions
Please Note: To maintain the Library’s mission and public purpose, room rentals are not available for:
- Private parties or celebrations (e.g., birthdays, baby showers)
- For-profit sales or solicitations
- Political campaign activities
- Religious services or ceremonies
Booking Options:
Applications must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the desired event date
The Library Director will make the final approval on all room applications
Rentals are limited to 2 to 3 hours maximum
Events (within the 2-3 hour window, if later in the day) must conclude by 5:00 PM to allow time for library closing procedures and clean-up
Room usage must align with Library service hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Weekday and weekend availability (based on pre-scheduled Library programs and events)
Group Eligibility
Type I
Library-related meetings and programs sponsored or co-sponsored by the library, including the library organizations such as RAILS, SWAN, ALA, ATLAS, and LACONI
Type II
Predominantly library district residents. [50% of participants are residents of the Dolton Public Library District. The library reserves the right to request a membership roster.] 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, civic service organizations, governmental agencies or units, social organizations such as homeowners, educational, scouts, baseball, and other clubs whose intent is not on making a profit. Also included are study groups, literacy tutoring, exam proctoring, and AARP tax assistance.
Type III
Other non-profit and commercial/profit-making groups located within the Dolton Library District
Type IV
Non-Library district non-profit groups and commercial/profit making groups.
Except for library or library-related greoups, the meeting room(s) may not be reserved for social gatherings such as receptions, showers, birthday parties, dances, etc., or for fundraising.
