Online Census Efforts

Libraries are trusted messengers, and up until recently, were playing a big role in sharing information about the census to our patrons. Now that most libraries are closed due to COVID-19, we are moving our census messaging efforts online.

You can also find Census FAQs on who to count and links to how patrons can respond by phone in other languages or read translated web pages from the Census Bureau. For information on services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, call the TDD number at 844.467.2020. For questions about responding to the 2020 Census, call 844.330.2020, from 6 a.m.–noon.

Complete the Census Online Now
Census reminder letters began arriving in mailboxes during the past two weeks. This the first year residents can complete the census online. Online completion is encouraged because it eliminates the need for door-to-door follow-up in May. If you did not receive your letter to fill out the census, no worries – just go to https://my2020census.gov/, enter your address, and start. The process is easy and takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
