Black Author Book Discussion Group

Document Actions

Would like to share your thoughts and comments on books with fellow library patrons?

Do you enjoy reading books written by prominent Black authors?  If so, join us throughout the year as we engage in serious discussion of selected fiction and non-fiction titles.

The Black Author Book Discussion Group generally meets the last Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm.  Members are encouraged to suggest titles from a variety of genres, which may include but are not limited to:  historical fiction, mystery, romance, or science fiction.  You don't have to sign up to join, just bring your love of reading with you.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jill.

"If God kills, lies, cheats, discriminates, and otherwise behaves in a manner that puts the Mafia to shame, that's Okay, he's God. He can do whatever he wants. Anyone who adheres to this philosophy has had his sense of morality, decency, justice and humaneness warped beyond recognition by the very book that is supposedly preaching the opposite."
